Disabled and non-disabled students and teachers learn how to
say "no" without mixed messages and with confidence, even under peer
pressure. Using teen actors and actresses, three trigger situations are
introduced:
Saying "no" to shoplifting
Saying "no" to a bully
Saying "no" to smoking marijuana
The students are shown in a junior high-school classroom setting as
Gloria Blum, MA, demonstrates with them the methodology of the Yes-No
Process, an integral component for developing self-esteem as part of
her Feeling Good About Yourself curriculum.
